Concert - The Police

I was finally able to see The Police in concert this month at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston. I was 18 rows back from the stage on the floor! Best seats I've ever had for a concert. The concert was fantastic. They played like they never had split up 23 years ago! I have wanted to see these guys in concert since the early 80's but wasn't old enough (my parents opinion) to go! It was well worth the wait! Thank you Sting, Andy, and Stewart!!!

What is the role of media?

What IS the role of media, or What SHOULD BE the role of the media? The role of the media (at least the MSM) is to serve as a mouthpiece for their corporate owners. I don't believe there is a truly independent source of "news" available to the common person anymore. I happened to watch the CBS Evening News on November 13th - they ran a special "almost" commercial free news half-hour - under the guise of how they were able to provide us more news. The only commercial break was sponsored by Pfizer - I was totally disgusted. Not only do the pharmaceutical companies have a majority of our politicians in their pockets, now the MSM as well! Truly disgusting!
